The Guinness World Record Book announced Emilio Flores Marquez, from Puerto Rico, 112 years old, becoming the longest man in the world.

Marquez, born in Carolina, east of Puerto Rico's San Juan capital in 1908, lived 112 years 326 days.

As the second son of the 11 siblings, Marquez worked in the family's sugar cane farm and only studied to the third grade.

The previous one who was recognized by the Guinness World Record Book is Dumitru Combyescu, from Romania, died on June 27, 2020, enjoying 111 years old 219 days.

After the crew died, Guinness received Marquez evidence that was born earlier than the previous record holder three months.
