On the morning of September 5, 1975, a girl met with President Gerald R. Ford with the intention of protecting the redwood forest in California.

That day, Lynette Fromme, wearing a red hooded hoodie, squeezed herself into the front of the crowd, and pointed a pistol at Ford, who stood an arm span from her.

The irony is that about 15 years before attempting to assassinate the US President, Fromme was invited to perform at the White House.

However, when the family moved to Redondo Beach, California in 1963, Fromme began associating with bad friends.

In 1967, at the age of 19, Fromme dropped out of college and was expelled from home.

Charles Manson was then released from the Terminal Island Federal Prison, California.

Manson preaches that he is the embodiment of Jesus and that the end of the world will come when there will be a racial war between white and colored people in America.

Fromme was fascinated by Manson's philosophies and attitudes, calling him "unique".

Not enough rent, Manson reached an agreement with rancher George Spahn, 80 years old: Spahn can have sex with any female member of the Manson Family, in exchange, the group can live on the farm.

In 1969, Manson ordered some members of the cult to kill actress Sharon Tate and her friends in her own home.

Fromme was not considered to be involved in the murder and thus was not prosecuted.

In 1972, Fromme moved to Sonoma County and became involved with bad friends again.

Fromme then moved back to live with Sandra Good in Sacramento and immersed himself more deeply in the teachings of Manson.

Thanks to the news, Fromme learned that President Gerald Ford would speak at the Sacramento Convention Center on the morning of September 5, 1975.

Fromme wears a Colt gun to his left leg and travels to the estate outside the state parliament building where President Ford shakes hands with people after giving his speech in the morning.

An agent immediately grabbed Fromme's arm and pushed her into the crowd, while other agents surrounded Ford to protect him.

There are 4 bullets in the ammunition box of the gun, but no bullets are in the magazine.

Fromme becomes the first woman to attempt to assassinate an American president.

After his release, Fromme moved to Marcy, a New York suburb, and lived with his boyfriend, who had also been convicted of a felony.

Fromme published his memoir in 2018. "Do I love Charlie? Yes. And I still do. I've never fallen in love," Frommen said in an April 2019 ABC documentary, referring to Manson.

Fromme's neighbors in New York describe her as "friendly, polite" and living quietly.

Fromme's house is decorated with skulls.
