China has consistently stated the "One-country, two-regime" model and has never forgiven Taiwan's "separatists".

Ma Xiaochang, spokesman for Taiwan's China Affairs Office, said today that the "One country, two regime" model is the central principle in President Xi Jinping's Taiwan policy.

"Unity is inevitable in the great development history of China," Ma said.

"Independence of Taiwan" goes against the trend and is a path that leads nowhere, Mr. Ma said.

Ma Xiaoping's statement came after a tough re-inauguration speech by Taiwanese Thai English leader.

China has always considered Taiwan a part of its territory waiting for unification, including the use of force.

During the first term, Ms. Thai Anh Van repeatedly declared not to accept the model "One country, two regimes" and Taiwan "as an independent country".
