Materials and equipment including breathing machines, antiseptic clothes, gloves and medical masks worth US $ 500,000 were awarded to China by China in a ceremony at Noi Bai International Airport yesterday. Vietnamese Deputy Foreign Minister To Anh Dung and Chinese Ambassador Hung Ba were present at the event.

Deputy Minister To Anh Dung said that this is the best medical equipment and supplies in Vietnam in the context that Vietnam also needs these devices to combat the effects of acute pneumonia caused by the new strain of corona virus (nCoV). "We hope they will contribute to the encouragement and support of the Chinese people through the current difficult period," Deputy Minister To Anh Dung said.

The plane of the National Airlines of Vietnam last night delivered support goods with 11 Chinese citizens in Vietnam to Wuhan, then brought 30 Vietnamese citizens in Hubei province to return home.

An outbreak of pneumonia caused by nCoV in Wuhan, the capital of Hubei province, in December caused 910 deaths and more than 40,000 infections, mainly in China. The epidemic has now spread to 26 countries and territories around the world.

Vietnam recorded 14 positive cases of nCoV, of which 6 cases were cured and discharged.
