Leaders of China, Laos, Singapore, Thailand ... sent their condolences to the people in Central Vietnam who were affected by floods and landslides.

Chinese Prime Minister Li Keqiang today sent a telegram to Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc after being informed that a number of central provinces of Vietnam had a severe flood, causing damage to people and property, according to news.

On the same day, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi and Singaporean Foreign Minister Vivian Balakrishnan sent telegrams and inquiries to Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh, expressing condolences to people affected by the floods and landslides.

"My deepest condolences to the families of the victims, and all those whose lives and livelihoods are affected. Singapore is ready to support Vietnam in any way possible", Channel News Asia

Before that, the General Secretary and the President of Laos Bounnhang Vorachith on October 19 sent a telegram to the General Secretary, State President Nguyen Phu Trong and Lao Prime Minister Thongloun Sisoulith also sent a telegram to Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc,

Lao leaders expressed their concern when the storms No. 6 and No. 7 continuously landed in the central provinces of Vietnam, causing heavy damage to people and property, and sent greetings and sharing.

Lao leaders emphasized always beside the Vietnamese leaders and people in this difficult time, upholding the tradition of friendship, solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries.

Sharing with Vietnam about the damage caused by storms and floods, Prime Minister Prayuth Chan-ocha sent a telegram to Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc, while Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Don Pramudwinai also sent a telegram.

Myanmar State Counselor Aung San Suu Kyi also sent a telegram to Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc, expressed his deep sympathy and greeted the government and people in the areas damaged by the floods and landslides,

Over the past two weeks, there have been two tropical depressions in the East Sea and two storms, both affecting Vietnam, causing heavy rains, floods, and landslides.

Rainfall is expected in the Central region as Typhoon Saudel, the eighth storm this year in the South China Sea, makes landfall this weekend.
