With 3,603 deaths from nCoV, Iran surpassed China in terms of deaths. China currently records 81,669 virus infections, including 3,329 deaths.

Iran is one of the countries most heavily influenced by Covid-19 in the world. After weeks of not applying isolation or blockade measures, Iran last week decided to ban all inter-provincial travel activities at least until April 8. President Hassan Rouhani warned that Covid-19 could last for months, even until the end of the year.

Iran has developed software that uses its own artificial intelligence to analyze lung computer tomography to detect nCoV-infected patients. According to Sorena Sattari, Iran's vice president of science and technology, the technology helps doctors quickly view images of infected lungs instead of having to do it manually.

Covid-19 has appeared in more than 200 countries and territories with the focus of the US and European countries, after starting from China in December 2019. Globally, more than 1.2 million people are infected and nearly 66,000 die from nCoV.
