US President Donald Trump expressed his respect for the country and people of Vietnam and wished to visit Vietnam again when he spoke with Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc.

The US President also congratulated the Vietnamese government and people on their successful response to Covid-19, welcomed the cooperation between the two countries in the prevention of pandemic and wished to continue closer cooperation in the field.

The Prime Minister affirmed that Vietnam is a developing country with limited economic potential, so the administration of monetary policy to control inflation and stabilize the macro-economy, and exchange rate control is not to create advantages.

The Prime Minister said that Vietnamese ministries and sectors will continue to actively cooperate with the US to comprehensively address the concerns of the two countries, thereby maintaining stable trade relations, towards the balance.

The two leaders assessed that the Vietnam-US relationship has strongly developed in all fields after 25 years of establishing diplomatic relations, especially in recent years, they believe that the bilateral relationship will continue to enter.

President Trump has visited Vietnam twice since taking office.
