The US, the largest epidemic region in the world, reported 2,934,179 cases and 132,302 deaths, up 48,527 and 259 respectively in the past 24 hours.

Florida recorded more than 11,000 new cases, bringing the total number of cases in the state to over 190,000 and was the focus of public health experts who were worried about the increase in infections in the western states.

In Texas, which recorded more than 195,000 infections and more than 2,600 deaths, Governor Greg Abbott ordered people in counties with 20 or more cases to wear masks and ban 10 people.

Brazil, the second largest epidemic in the world, reported an additional 35,035 cases and 1,111 deaths, bringing the total to 1,578,376 and 64,365 respectively.

Although the epidemic has not shown signs of improvement, the major cities have reopened.

President Jair Bolsonaro was strongly criticized by health experts for how to handle the crisis.

Peru recorded an additional 3,481 infections and 186 deaths, bringing the total to 299,080 and 10,412, the fifth largest epidemic in the world.

From July 1, 96% of manufacturing activities, including mining, industries and commerce, were resumed but compliance with anti-epidemic health regulations.
