Covid-19 appeared in 126 countries and territories, causing more than 134,000 people infected, nearly 5,000 died, of which the number of infections in Italy increased a record.

In Europe, Italy on March 12 recorded a new record on a record high day of 2,651, bringing the total number of people with Covid-19 in the country to 15,113. Italy is also the country with the second highest number of deaths due to nCoV, behind China, with 1,016 cases, an increase of 189 cases compared to the previous day.

Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte on March 11 ordered all businesses to shut down, except for pharmacies and grocery stores, to deal with Covid-19.

Spain and Germany recorded 869 and 779 new cases, respectively. The total number of nCoV infections in Spain is 3,146 and Germany is 2,745, with 86 and 6 deaths respectively.

France found 595 more cases, bringing the number of people infected with nCoV to 2,876, of which 61 died. He currently records 590 cases, up 130 cases compared to the previous day, 10 people died.

In Asia, Japan recorded 52 new infections, bringing the total number of positive cases for nCoV to 691, the number of deaths also increased by 4 cases to 19.

An additional 114 new infections in South Korea, bringing the total number of people infected with this country to 7,869, of which 66 died.

China has not released figures today. A spokesman for China's National Health Commission yesterday announced that the country had passed the peak of the epidemic as the number of new cases per day continued to decline.

In the Middle East, Iran recorded 1,075 new infections and 75 new deaths, bringing the total number of infected people to 10,075 and the number of deaths was 429.

The US recorded 1,670 infections. The number of deaths was 40, an increase of 2 cases compared to the previous day.

Covid-19 continues to appear in several countries of the Americas and Africa. Gabon, Ghana, Trinidad and Tobago and Guyana were the first to report the first reported cases of nCoV. Worldwide, 134,511 cases have been recorded, 4,970 deaths and 68,925 people have recovered.
