O Rose, a Californian, received hundreds of calls and texts after Trump mistakenly shared the phone number with a Michigan state official.

In an attempt to reverse the results of the election, President Donald Trump's campaign on Tuesday called on Twitter and Facebook users to contact the majority faction leader in the state's Senate Mike Shirkey and former chairman.

The Trump campaign posted Chatfield's number online with the area code of 231, but was mistakenly changed to the number of O Rose, a native of Michigan but living in California, making his phone constantly "bombed"

"I can't take more calls, my voicemail has 44 calls. Endless messages. I've deleted a bunch and now thinking, maybe I shouldn't be doing that anymore, because I was.

The Trump group's post also mistook Chatfield for the incumbent Michigan House of Representatives, though he no longer holds the post.

"My phone can't even get more calls. It crashes. I get so many calls that I can't do anything with my phone," Rose said.

Rose learned of the mistake after a friend of his father texted him, presumably contacting Michigan officials.

Rose contacted Trump's campaign to remove the incorrect post but failed, so she sent a message to Mr. Chatfield's Facebook for support.

"Personally, I am being influenced by a Trump team decision that is not authentic and it is the dumbest thing I've ever heard," Rose added, adding that it would change the phone number to get out of trouble
