Korean Foreign Minister Kang Kyung-wha proposed to increase bilateral commercial flights, when he officially visited Vietnam on September 17 and September 18.

Ms. Kang highly appreciated Vietnam's decision to resume commercial routes, hoping that Vietnam would create more favorable conditions for Korean businessmen to enter, on the basis of ensuring the prevention of Covid-19, promoting cooperation.

In his talks with the Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister today, the Korean Foreign Minister said that the government attaches great importance to and hopes to further develop its relations with Vietnam, a key partner in Korea's new Southbound Policy.

Deputy Prime Minister Pham Binh Minh asked the two countries to resume mutual visits of senior leaders of the two countries, hoping that Korea shortens assessment procedures, creating conditions for Vietnam's agricultural and aquatic products to export.

The two countries agreed to continue cooperation in multilateral mechanisms such as the United Nations, ASEAN, APEC, ASEM, WTO, and the Mekong.
