Morales, 60, decided to resign on 10 November after losing support from the army and police. He traveled to Mexico for asylum on November 12 by a government flight.

Morales' announcement of his fourth presidential election in October sparked street violence, but the situation was even worse after his resignation. 8 people were killed and more than 400 were injured in the protests.

The image in the city of Cochabamba shows police struggling to prevent Morales supporters from falling into the march. In the capital La Paz, politicians and civil leaders are also struggling to restore order after weeks of protests. The people of La Paz expressed hope that politicians will help restore order to the capital.

"We are doing everything we can to get things back to normal," La Paz police chief Yuri Calderon said. He said dozens of police stations were searched and burned by pro-Morales protesters.
