Earlier, the SEA Games 30 executive director Ramon Suzara also pledged to address the shortcomings in the organization work. "We are trying our best to handle all the initial problems, which are very normal at sports games," he said.

A series of incidents in the preparation of the SEA Games 30, such as unfinished construction, athletes lacking food, accommodation or delayed transportation, made the organization of the Philippines considered "chaotic".
