Trump on October 27 declared Baghdadi, the supreme leader of the self-proclaimed Islamic State (IS), killed in a raid carried out by U.S. special forces in Idlib province, Syria. Speaking at a press conference the same day, the US president confirmed Baghdadi "died like a dog, a coward".

Trump also said Baghdadi was "whimpering" and screaming when attacked by US special forces. Baghdadi detonated a suicide belt with his three children after being driven into a dead-end tunnel. The body of the IS supreme leader was then buried under Islamic customs on an unknown sea.

Baghdadi, the notorious leader of IS, has been secretly secreting the war for the past five years, since making its public debut in 2014 at the mosque in Mosul, Iraq. The US has offered a $ 25 million reward to anyone who provides information to capture or destroy Baghdadi.
