"I'm a FETO member and I'm going to blow up this plane," the woman shouted, holding a picture of cleric Fethullah Gulen, who was accused of plotting a coup, and a book while the plane was running on. runway.

The passengers on the plane tried to calm the woman and control her. The woman quarreled with passengers and lit a cigarette before security personnel showed up and escorted her from the plane.

Turkish media said the woman claimed to have five bombs, but a search found nothing suspicious. Passengers on the plane were then taken to the station for security check and the flight was canceled.

It is not clear how many passengers are on board. Authorities have not released the identity of this woman.

FETO is the abbreviation of Fethullahist Terrorist Organization, the Turkish government's call for the Gulen movement. FETO allegedly failed to orchestrate a failed coup attempt on July 15, 2016, killing 251 people and injuring nearly 2,200 people.

Erdogan claimed that the leaders of the coup had involved Gulen, but Gulen denied any allegations. Gulen, once an ally of Erdogan, has lived in exile in Pennsylvania, USA for more than 20 years.
