Bahrain officials said 214 people were still positive for nCoV, of which 77 had recovered. People who are still on treatment are in stable health.

This is the first death recorded in 6 countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) including Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The GCC countries have detected a total of 965 nCoV positive cases, many of which are related to Iran.

Covid-19 has appeared in 157 countries and territories, causing nearly 170,000 people to be infected with nCoV and more than 6,500 dead. Viruses can cause serious conditions such as pneumonia in elderly people or people with underlying medical conditions. People with mild illness will recover in about two weeks, while those with more severe illness may take 3-6 weeks or even die.
