A new post-mortem report shows that George Floyd, 46, died of "cardiopulmonary arrest" after police pressed the back of his neck.

Other significant Floyd health conditions are listed as "arteriosclerotic heart disease and hypertension; use of fentanyl pain relievers; recent drug use of ice".

The statement added that "the mode of death is not legally determined to conclude a crime or intent to commit a crime", and emphasized that under Minnesota law, "the forensic doctor has a duty to neutralize and separate

The same day, a lawyer from the Floyd family issued a statement saying the results of an autopsy conducted by the family authorized Floyd's cause of death as "suffocation due to constant pressure".

The prosecutor's prosecution record earlier said that Floyd suffered from underlying conditions including coronary artery and hypertensive heart failure.

Floyd died after being controlled by four police officers, one of whom was directly on the back of the victim's neck, May 25 in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

In addition to Washington, more than 40 cities in the United States have imposed a curfew to protest the protests.

Police officer Derek Chauvi, who directly murdered Floyd, was charged with third-degree murder, manslaughter for negligence and was taken to a detention facility.
