An additional 103 deaths from corona virus, an increase of 11.3% compared to yesterday, bringing the total death to 1,013 and the number of cases is 42,760.

The Hubei Provincial Health Commission today announced that it had 103 more deaths from the new strain of corona virus (nCoV) and 2,097 confirmed positive cases, bringing the total number of deaths in Hubei to 974 and The number of cases is 31,728. The number of deaths reached a new high in Hubei, while the new infection dropped significantly from the previous day. Hubei officials yesterday reported 91 deaths and 2,618 new infections.

The number of deaths from acute pneumonia in mainland China is 1,011, 42,369 cases and 4,051 people have been cured.

Worldwide, 1,013 people died from the epidemic, of which two cases were recorded outside of mainland China: a Wuhan man in the Philippines and a 39-year-old man in Hong Kong. 42,760 people were infected, of which 6,495 people were in critical condition and 4,097 people were cured.

The number of people who died from nCoV far exceeded the 813 deaths due to the pandemic SARS (severe acute respiratory syndrome) in 2002-2003, according to World Health Organization (WHO) data.
