Spain recorded 767 deaths from nCoV, up 30% from the previous day, while Europe is now where Covid-19 spread the fastest.

The Spanish Ministry of Health today reports 2,378 new nCoV infections, bringing the total to 17,147, making the country the second largest epidemic in Europe, behind only Italy. Covid-19 mortality rate in this country is 4.4%.

Iran has also reported 149 more deaths, the number of deaths in the country so far is 1,284 out of 18,407 people infected with nCoV. Iran is one of the countries most seriously affected by Covid-19 and is the second largest epidemic region in Asia, after mainland China.

At least 12 Iranian officials and former officials died, while 13 were isolated or treated. Iranian Deputy Health Minister Alireza Raisi said many residents have not followed the government's anti-epidemic instructions, such as banning "unnecessary" travel. He warned the epidemic could last more than two months if the public refuses to cooperate.

The number of deaths caused by nCoV worldwide has increased to 9,276 and the number of cases is 225,237, with Europe now the region with the fastest spread of Covid-19 in the world.

Covid-19 appeared in 176 countries and territories after its inauguration in Wuhan in December 2019. China, where the outbreak began, today announced no new domestic cases.
