China announced that it recorded 52 new deaths from nCoV, the lowest in more than three weeks, bringing the total to 2,715.

The National Health Commission of China (NHC) today said 52 new deaths were all in Hubei province, the center of Covid-19. China also recorded 406 new cases of nCoV, of which Hubei accounted for 401 cases, down from 508 new infections yesterday.

The total number of nCoV infections in mainland China is now 78,064, of which 2,715 have died, 29,745 have been cured, and 8,552 are in critical condition.

New cases have dropped in China as more provinces have not detected more nCoV infections in recent days. The latest publication shows that only 5 new cases have been recorded outside of the epidemic, the lowest in more than a month.

The world currently records 80,996 nCoV infections, 2,764 deaths and 30,051 people cured. Iran is the second most recorded country in the world, after mainland China, with 16 cases.

New cases in China have decreased, but in South Korea, Italy and Iran, the number of infections has increased rapidly. South Korea currently has 1,146 cases, the second highest in the world, while Italy has 323.

The Covid-19 outbreak has been reported in 39 countries and territories after its onset in Wuhan, China in December 2019. 49 deaths from nCoV outside mainland China were recorded in Japan, South Korea, France, the Philippines, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Iran and Italy.
