No people were injured in the incident. Local media released a video showing the plane was not damaged, while passengers moved off the plane by ladder.

The governor of Kermanshah said the A319 had landed "without problems", but one of its wheels "slipped" while running on the runway. He said that the cause was heavy snowfall and more and more errors encountered.

A similar incident occurred last week in the city of Mahshahrm when the McDonnell Douglas MD-83 carrying 136 people of Tehran-based Caspian airline exceeded the runway and slid into the highway, leaving several people slightly injured.

A day ago, Qeshm Air passenger aircraft en route to Tehran were forced to return to Gorgan airport in northern Iran because one of the engines caught fire shortly after takeoff. The plane had to make an emergency landing and 85 passengers were evacuated safely.
