President Trump said that China is increasing its purchases of American goods with the aim of making him "happy".

"China has bought the most corn in history," US President Donald Trump said at a press conference on August 15 at Bedminster Golf Club, New Jersey.

"China is buying a lot of things and they are doing it to please me," he added.
