Hours before meeting Pence, Trump re-shared a tweet calling for the Vice President to "take action" and not to approve the electoral college's election results during the bicameral parliamentary session on January 6.

A person familiar with the matter said the discussion on December 23 was "unrelated" to the tweet, but did not specify whether the topic of the January 6 results approval meeting of parliament was raised by two people

Sources say Trump in recent days has expressed questions about why Pence, as the Senate chairman presiding over the January 6 congressional meeting, could not reverse the electoral ballot results.

Pence and many White House aides attempted to explain to Trump that the Vice President's Senate presidency was primarily formal and that he could not unilaterally override the electoral votes.

After finishing discussions with Pence, the US President and the First Lady went to Florida to celebrate Christmas.

On January 6, the US Congress will hold a plenary meeting, chaired by US Vice President and Senate President Mike Pence, to confirm the vote of the state electoral college.

Before January 6, instead of losing, Trump and his allies still implemented many plans to reverse the election results.
