Trump opened up about "doing something" when he first answered a reporter's question after leaving the White House for Florida.

"We will do something, but not now," former President Donald Trump said when asked by reporters to respond to his upcoming plans while having dinner at Trump International Golf Club.

This short answer is Trump's first statement to the press after he left the White House and flew back to Florida on January 20.

Just minutes ago, the US Senate announced the impeachment time for Trump was set in February, with a clause that accuses the former president of provoking the Capitol Hill riots on Jan. 6, threatening hope of re-war.

After skipping President Joe Biden's inauguration to return to the Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, Trump has spent the past two days in a row on the golf course.

"He needs a break," a Trump aide said earlier this week.

Trump once announced consideration for re-election to the White House in 2024, and considered forming a new party named "Patriotic party".

Carl Domino, who has been a member of the golf club since it opened in 1999, said he believes Trump's final weeks as president will be reassessed in a few months.

"He is a very elusive man," said the financier and former Florida congressman.

Most locals expect him to live a quiet life.
