Trump's re-election campaign group has been suing CNN, accusing the media of repeatedly reporting "injustice" to the President.

"Never in the history of this country, the President has been the subject of a series of unfair, unfounded, unethical and illegal attacks by so-called 'mainstream' news such as the situation, "Charles Harder, Trump's representative and his campaign, wrote in a letter to CNN on October 16 and published on October 18.

The US president in June announced his re-election in Florida with the slogan "Keep America Great".

Trump's representation laws and campaigning group accuse CNN of being a "fake" news channel and threatening to file a lawsuit to demand damages for the President. Trump's lawyer cited the Lanham Act, an anti-trademarking law, which prohibits trademark infringement and false advertising.

Last year, Mr. Harder asked Trump to sue the New York Times, related to the news investigating the President's business. The representative of Trump's re-election campaign group also sued Michael Wolf, author of "Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House", a book depicting an incompetent president in the White House.

Bradley Moss, a national security lawyer, said if Trump's campaign team sued CNN, "the lawsuit is going nowhere."

"Trump sued CNN not to win the case. The case was going nowhere, but rather focusing his attention on a dangerous PR," Moss said.

In a speech in May 2017, the US president once affirmed "no politician in history has been treated worse or unfairly than me". Trump regularly attacks CNN and other news agencies, criticizing them for fake news and "an enemy of the people". Even Fox News, Trump's favorite TV channel is no exception.

CNN in 2018 once responded to the President's attacks: "Don't be mistaken, Mr. President, CNN doesn't lie. We give news. And we reflect when the person in charge lies. CNN is accountable in advance. our news and our correspondents ".
