Asked if members of the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) were part of the delegation, Ghebreyesus said he also hoped it would happen. The head of WHO has not yet named the mission leader and other experts in the mission, and declined to give details of their activities. Ghebreyesus said WHO will make everything public as soon as it is ready.

Mike Ryan, a leading WHO emergency specialist, said the number of deaths and infections of new corona virus (nCoV) reported daily in Hubei province, China is now at a "stable" level.

"That's good news and can reflect the effectiveness of quarantine measures. However, keep in mind that there are still many suspected cases of illness awaiting testing," Ryan added.

The outbreak of acute pneumonia caused by nCoV began in Wuhan, Hubei province, central China since December 2019. The disease has spread to 31 provinces of mainland China and 26 countries and territories around the world. Up to now, the number of deaths due to epidemics has increased to 813, the number of infected cases has increased to more than 37,000.
