Mr. Uy Sovannarith, 55, Deputy Director of Cambodian Ministry of Public Transport, died on April 18, after only a few days positive for NCOV.

Cambodia's Public Transportation (MPWT) yesterday announced Mr. Uy Sovannarith, Deputy Director of Road Traffic Department, died at 11:30.

He was one of three MPWT officials identified NCOV infection on April 14 and all three were members of the same family.

Cambodia currently recognizes nearly 6,400 cases and the situation of epidemics continues to be complicated, when some people, even police officials, violating blockade regulations.

Prime Minister Hun Sen on April 17 said he was considering renewing the blockade orders in Phnom Penh Capital and Takhmao town nearby if people do not comply with limited measures applied by officials.
