After three years of issuing a red wanted warrant, the Korean police in collaboration with the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam arrested the drug boss Kim in a place in Ho Chi Minh City.

The 47 -year -old suspect Kim has transported drugs from Vietnam to Korea for about three years.

The Korea Joongang Daily, one of the top three English daily newspapers in Korea, said the suspect's identity is Kim Hyung-ryul, the last in the group of three notorious Korean drug bosses in Southeast Asia was arrested.

According to NPA, Kim has been wanted nationwide in Korea with allegations of drug trafficking and synthetic marijuana, becoming the leading supplier of this banned substance.

The International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol) in June 2019 issued a Red Want Order with Kim, paving the way for the cooperation process between Vietnam and South Korea.

When the Korean police discovered Kim was hiding in Vietnam, they sent a group to coordinate with the local police.

A support group of 4 members was established.

Kim Hyung-ryul (between) was arrested in Ho Chi Minh City on July 17.

Police also identified 20 Korean accomplices that were said to have helped Kim handled drugs after smuggling.

Two other notorious Korean drug bosses, including Park Wang-Yul and Choi Jung-ok, confessed that Kim was the one who provided them with ice.

Park was arrested in the Philippines in October 2020.

When Park's Korean accomplice was nicknamed Vatican Kingdom on Telegram, arrested in January 2021, Park's drug line was exposed.

Choi was arrested in Cambodia in April and was extradited to Korea for prosecution.

The Korean government increasingly promotes drug surveys to deal with the current increasing drug criminal situation.

The man Kim's family, considered one of the largest Korean drug bosses operating in Southeast Asia, was arrested in Ho Chi Minh City and was extradited to the country.
