An explosion occurred at a gas station in Northwestern Ireland killed seven people, while the rescue force was still looking for survivors.

The outskirts of Creeslough village, Donegal district exploded on the afternoon of October 7, Irish police today said.

Pearse Dohery, Sinn Fein Party Congressman, said the gas station was the only supermarket near the village, the same post office and a hair salon.

Relatives who are thought to be at the gas station when the explosion occurred concentrated on the scene on the night of October 7.

Letterkenny University Hospital, 24 km from the scene, is placed in an emergency.

Prime Minister Ireland Michael Martin describes this as the darkest days with Donegal as well as the whole country.

Thinking with my prayers today towards those who were killed and injured in the explosion in Creeslough, he said.

A passenger car was flipped on the highway in southwest China, causing at least 27 people to die, unknown cause of the accident.
