China: An 11-year-old girl in Hunan province was repeatedly raped by a group of people working at a karaoke bar.

The girl left home in Qidong County, Hunan Province, China on September 29 and four days later, the family reported the incident to the police, a local government statement on November 19 to know. Three days later, the victim was found at a hotel.

Police arrested seven people suspected of being involved in the incident, but charged only two. The girl's father later reported on social media that the rape suspects were abusing her relationship to escape the crime.

The allegations of the father indignation in public opinion and police have prosecuted an additional 4 people. The suspects included the owner of a karaoke bar, a victim broker with clients and four people who were given patrons, including Ky Dong district officials and a state bank employee.

The seventh suspect to be interrogated was a pregnant woman, accused of abetting prostitution, but was released on bail.

The girl lives with her grandparents, and her parents work in another city. She was "tricked into working by a classmate" at the karaoke bar, the father said. Victims have been intimidated and forced to entertain male customers by singing and drinking with them, but all of the money earned goes to pockets of shop owners and brokers, he added.

The girl is currently being treated at a hospital in the capital of Changsha. Under Chinese law, all sexual acts involving children under the age of 14 years are considered rape.
