Two Cambodian citizens and four Chinese people in court in Sihanoukville city accused human trafficking, after police discovered 35 victims.

General Kieu Sopheak, a spokesman for the Ministry of Home Affairs of Cambodia, said on August 31 that the six suspects were arrested from the afternoon of August 26, after officials received a call to the hotline, notice of human trafficking.

At the order of Cambodian Interior Minister Sar Khung, the Sihanoukville Provincial Police has deployed a specialized force to search and discover 35 Chinese citizens illegally crossing the border by water from the country to Sihanoukville.
