The Russian military will receive many modern weapons such as Sarmat ballistic missiles, S-500 air defense systems and Tu-160M2 bombers from this year.

"Despite the Western economic embargoes, we will continue to build state-of-the-art weapon systems, capable of dealing with any attack, even from supersonic weapons of the "Russian Deputy Defense Minister Alexei Krivoruchko said on February 3 in an article in the journal Radio Technology.

Krivoruchko said that the Sarmat RS-28 Sarmat intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) is in mass production and will be handed over to the Russian Strategic Missile Forces from 2021. This is Moscow's latest ICBM model, received by the General President Vladimir Putin introduced in early 2018, besides super weapons such as Avangard.

The Sarmat missile is designed to bypass all current and future missile defense systems, ensuring Russia's strategic nuclear deterrent capabilities. Each ball is 35.5 m long, 3 m in diameter, carrying 178 tons of fuel and reaching a range of over 18,000 km. Sarmat will carry a variety of warheads, including new generation supersonic weapons.

Deputy Krivoruchko announced that the Russian military will begin receiving the S-500 air defense system this year, after completing testing at the end of last year.

The S-500 is designed to carry out both anti-aircraft and anti-ballistic missions, similar to the role of the S-400 and A-135 complexes in the current Russian army. In the air defense mission, the S-500 has a range of 400 km, enough to destroy the target at a maximum height of 40 km and a speed of 25,200 km / h, allowing shooting down all supersonic fighters in the world.

For ballistic missile defense missions, the S-500 has a range of 500-600 km, can track up to 20 targets at the same time and intercept 5-10 ballistic missiles at the end or between journeys. In addition, the S-500 was developed to shoot down satellites in low orbit around the Earth, as well as targets in space to deal with US space weapons.

Unnamed sources from the Russian Defense Ministry said last year that some components of the S-500 system had been "tested" in Syria, helping identify and overcome some limitations in the operation of the system.

"The Tu-160M2 strategic bomber will make its first flight by 2021, the payroll process for the air units will start two years later. The Russian Defense Ministry plans to order 10 aircraft from now on." to 2027, "Krivoruchko said.

The Tu-160M2 is a modernized version based on the Tu-160 chassis, which is expected to become the most powerful strategic bomber in Russian military history. The KRET Design Institute, which develops new equipment for the Tu-160M2, said the aircraft would be equipped with the electronic warfare complex of the Su-57 fighter to increase its defenses against threats.

The Tu-160M2 variant also carries new communication equipment and engines, and many advanced weapons to enhance the ability to attack with high accuracy.
