The alleged wife of the leader of Baghdadi IS revealed a lot of inside information of the group after being arrested last year, the source said.

According to the unnamed Turkish official, the woman who identified herself as Rania Mahmoud was in fact Asma Fawzi Muhammad al-Qubaysi, the first wife of the supreme Islamic State (IS) leader, Abu Bakr. al-Baghdadi, who was killed in a US special raid last month.

Al-Qubaysi was arrested in Turkey's Hatay province, near the Syrian border on June 2, 2018, along with 10 others, including Baghdadi's daughter, who identified herself as Leila Jabeer.
