According to Forbes commentator Dani Di Placido, the rapper born in 1977 has no real stance in anything but himself and his religious beliefs.

"Like Trump, West is just crooked about hot topics, trying crowd reactions, making generic statements and bold promises, always focusing his attention on himself," Placido said.

The biggest controversy in West's campaign revolved around Harriet Tubman, an African-American activist famous for helping to free slaves, and a 19th-century agent West said that Mrs. Tubman had never been

Commentator Placido judged that West might want to present a more in-depth view of slavery and superior whiteism, "but he doesn't necessarily have to attack a popular civil rights hero to be admired for the sake of purpose.

West burst into tears while discussing abortion, saying he and his wife almost decided to have an abortion when they were pregnant with their first daughter, so this was discouraged.

"I think West clearly has no intention of running for office. He is building a brand, in the view that entertainment and popular culture are always associated with politics. Running for president is even cheaper.

Director Michael Moore once expressed his belief that Trump initially ran for the presidential campaign just for PR, in order to benefit from the wave of controversy and constantly appearing in the newspaper.

"West's harsh reaction to a critic of his campaign further proved that he was not interested in arguing with voters, or understanding their aspirations and needs.

West once announced on Twitter that his new album DONDA will be released on 24/7, but then deleted the tweet.

Placido believes that whatever West's true purpose is, public attention helps ensure his brand is never forgotten or diminished.
