The FBI warned the far-right group of QAnon could impersonate the National Guard during Biden's inauguration and study vulnerable areas.

The FBI in an intelligence meeting on Jan. 18 warned law enforcement that QAnon former friends and extremists were planning to head to Washington, DC.

The FBI documents revealed that the QAnon members discussed the disguise of the National Guard in Washington, as well as studying maps of sensitive areas in the city.

The FBI's intelligence report, however, did not specify the conspiracy to attack the events of the inauguration like the January 6 riots.

The FBI currently declined to describe the credibility or severity of threats it reported to law enforcement ahead of its inauguration.

"The US Secret Service takes all threats seriously and will continue to work with our state, local, federal, and military partners to ensure the security of the 59th inauguration",

The US Secret Service is responsible for coordinating all security for the inauguration, while the FBI collects intelligence on threats and handles potential crises.

After the Capitol Hill riots on Jan. 6, the FBI is specifically monitoring members from former right-wing groups such as the Oath Keepers, Three Percenters and the Proud Boys, which have a stance that supports President Donald Trump.

On the eve of Biden's inauguration, Washington's metropolitan center was almost turned into a "fortress", while tens of thousands of National Guard and law enforcement personnel were arranged around the area.
