Honduras President Hernandez is being treated for nCoV infection but still works remotely through his aides.

His wife Ana GarcĂ­a and two of his assistants were also infected.

"They offered to rest but I will continue to work from afar and through assistants," Mr. Hernandez adds.

He also called on Honduran people to continue implementing community isolation guidelines to prevent disease.

Covid-19 has appeared in more than 210 countries and territories, causing nearly 8.3 million people infected and more than 446,000 deaths.

Honduras currently records more than 9,000 cases, of which more than 320 have died.

Hernandez is the latest national leader to be infected with nCoV.
