The United States and Canada agreed to close the border, banning "unnecessary" travel to counter Covid-19.

"With consent from both sides, we temporarily closed the northern border with Canada, banning" unnecessary "travel. Trade will not be affected," US President Trump wrote on Twitter on 3/18.

The United States previously banned people from most of Europe, China and other places affected by Covid-19. As of March 16, Ottawa has closed the border with most foreign nationals but excludes US citizens. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau then explained the close bilateral relationship between the two countries made the United States treated differently from the rest of the nations.

Covid-19 has appeared in all US states, causing more than 7,300 people to be infected, more than 110 died and more than 100 recovered. Canada recorded about 600 cases, 8 died and more than 10 recovered.

Trump on March 13 declared a national emergency, giving states and territories access to $ 50 billion in federal funds to counter Covid-19. Trump is considering plans to send a check for $ 1,000 per US citizen, except for high-income people, to help them overcome difficulties.

170 countries and territories recorded Covid-19, with more than 204,000 people infected, more than 8,200 dead and more than 82,000 people recovered.
