The email includes a list of things to be done, such as "cleaning the refrigerator and microwave", "bringing back Presidential gifts into room 1" and "bringing personal items home".

"Employees will receive a complete job list in the coming days. As a first step, please do an inventory of the office and understand that you are responsible for doing the following," the email said, continuing.

The White House has not commented on the above information.

However, in another email on the morning of December 23 from the White House management office, employees of the US presidential office were instructed to "please ignore" the previous announcement and "updates.

Meanwhile, Trump and his Republican allies continued their efforts to reverse election results.

On December 14, the electoral college voted Joe Biden as the 46th President-elect of the United States.

Under the Electoral College Vote Counting Act of 1887, when a petition challenging the electoral ballot is filed, the session to certify the electoral votes is suspended for the House and Senate to meet separately.

More than 50 lawsuits filed by Trump and his supporters have so far been dismissed by state and federal courts, for failing to provide conclusive evidence of the widespread fraud allegations.
