US Executive Chris Wallace said Trump did not test Covid before the first Biden debate because he was too late.

Chris Wallace, host of Fox News channel, who ran the first presidential debate session earlier this week, said on October 2 that US President Donald Trump did not test Covid-19 before "comparing" with the candidate.

The debate session on September 29 was held on the campus of Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio.

As recommended, Trump and Biden did not shake hands before the debate, but they were not asked to wear masks during the argument session.

Wallace says the two candidates' campaign has come to an agreement that they "trust each other" that both Trump and Biden are tested for Covid-19 before arguing.

"They did not have enough time to both take the test and participate in the debate at 9pm that night," Wallace said.

According to a statement issued by the Cleveland Hospital on October 2, each person allowed to enter the debate hall must have a negative result for Covid-19.

Both candidates took their wives on stage at the end of the argument.

Joe Biden then announced that he and his wife were both Covid-19 negative.

According to a memo from Sean Conley, a White House doctor, Trump was given one dose of Regeneron, a type of "polyclonal antibody".

The US President has been aboard a helicopter leaving the White House to the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center and will work in a special room at the hospital for the next few days as a precaution.
