US intelligence identifies officials in Wuhan and Hubei province withholding information about Covid-19 from the central government for weeks out of fear of discipline, according to NYTimes.

Internal reports by US intelligence agencies, including the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), show that leaders in Beijing have not been informed by officials in Wuhan city and Hubei province.

Officials and former US officials familiar with the matter said Wuhan officials tried to conceal the nCoV's appearance from the central government and repeatedly keep information about it secretly out of fear of discipline.

This report seems to support the accusation that China has concealed the nCoV outbreak from the world that the administration of US President Donald Trump, though it does not detail who knows about the virus, where to find it, and

The Trump administration has made a number of accusations, including a presidential statement, that "China's" keeping secrets, deceiving and covering up "has caused a pandemic, implying the message that the Chinese leadership

The report released in June, both confidential and non-confidential, still supports the argument that Chinese officials have kept information about Covid-19 private from the world.

The intelligence report adds more news and other evidence that hiding information by local Chinese officials has contributed to the spread of the virus.

Covid-19 appeared in 213 countries and territories, causing more than 22.5 million people to become infected and more than 789,000 deaths.
