The Vietnamese ambassador presented a donation of US $ 50,000 to the Myanmar government to support the prevention of Covid-19.

Vietnamese Ambassador to Myanmar Ly Quoc Tuan presented the anti-Covid-19 support amount to the Ministry of Health and Sports of Myanmar during a ceremony in Yangon city on July 13, according to a Foreign Ministry statement.

Ambassador Ly Quoc Tuan highlighted the significance of the support of the Vietnamese government and people to the Myanmar government and people, emphasizing "the gift of showing affection to always helping friends, especially in difficult times.

The Director of Myanmar Medical Research Department Zaw Than Htun expressed his sincere thanks from the Government, the Ministry of Health and Sports of Myanmar to the gift of Vietnam.

Representatives of some Vietnamese businesses also presented the Ministry of Health and Sports of Myanmar with equipment, medical supplies and cash during the ceremony.
