The British Prime Minister warned that another blockade could be imposed as the number of nCoV infections continues to increase, but confirmed that schools are still safe.

"The blockade orders will be tightened further. Obviously there are a host of tougher measures that we have to consider, I will not make predictions about those options," British Prime Minister Boris Johnson said.

The UK Prime Minister said the Covid-19 vaccine implementation plan is expected to be accelerated from January 4 with 530,000 doses of the Oxford / AstraZeneca vaccine in place, adding that he hopes tens of millions of people will be vaccinated over the next three months.

The British government has canceled plans to reopen schools in London and surrounding areas, but teacher unions want to extend the ban.

The statement was made in the context that the number of nCoV infections in the UK continued to increase strongly because the nCoV strain B.1.1.7 had 20 more mutations than the original version and a 70% higher chance of infection.

Much of the UK has imposed the strictest restrictions on the four-tier system to stop the spread of the virus and protect the national health care system, but there are concerns that this remains.

Opposition Labor Party leader Keir Starmer has called on Prime Minister Johnson to impose a nationwide blockade within the next 24 hours.

He today recorded 54,990 more nCoV infections, bringing the total number to nearly 2.7 million, of which more than 75,000 people died.
