70 Russian diplomats and their families from Bulgaria returned home in the biggest deportation that Sofia has ever done with Moscow.

Russian senior diplomat Filip Voskresenski on July 3 told reporters at the airport in Sofia, Bulgaria, that he was one of the 70 Russian diplomats considered by the host country as a person who was not welcomed in the return time.

The expulsion of Russian diplomats was acted by Prime Minister Bulgaria Kiril Petkov.

Petkov said Russia retained 43 diplomats after this decision, while Bulgaria had only 12 employees in Moscow.

Voskresenski said Russia sent two aircraft to Sofia to welcome diplomats and their families to return home after the deportation order.
