Dai Son Nuclear Power Plant stops operating a reactor for maintenance due to mild fuel liquid.

Chinese officials in June said the fuel bars of the No. 1 reactor of Taichan Nuclear Power Plant were mild damaged due to radioactive gas accumulation, confirming that this is a common and unfortunate phenomenon.

China Nuclear Electrical Group (CGN) on July 30 announced the decision to stop operating the No. 1 reactor of Taichan factory for maintenance after a long discussion between French and Chinese technical staff.

CGN said both units of Taichan factory maintained safely and stabilized during operation, while affirming the incident at the No. 1 reactor completely under control.
