Cuba on September 25 will organize a referendum to pass the new family law, first included the legalization of homosexual marriage and surrogacy.

LGBTQ supporters tried to legalize homosexual marriage into the Cuban Constitution in the revision in 2019, but this was not approved.

If approved, Cuba would be like 7 other Latin American countries that have approved homosexual marriage, Costa Rica, Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Uruguay and most recently Chile.

The Dutch Prime Minister Rutte declared Princess Catharina-Amalia may marry any gender without having to give up the throne's successor.

The Japanese capital Tokyo will start recognizing homosexual marriages since November, after revising the current rules.
