EU summoned Russian ambassador, after Moscow gave 8 European citizens to sanctions.

Peter Stano, the European Union spokesman (EU) today said the Russian Ambassador will meet senior officials of the European Commission and European diplomatic agencies in the afternoon.

"These retaliate sanctions have a clear political engine and lack of legal basis," Stano said.

Moskva on April 30 prohibits 8 EU officials entering, including the European Parliament Chairman David Sassoli and Vice Chairman of the European Commission Vera Jourova.
