The Russian Investigation Commission said that at least 13 people died, including 6 adults and 7 children.

Alexander Brechalov, Governor of Udmurtia, where Izhevsk, said he went to the scene of the shooting in the field No. 88 and security and ambulance forces were also mobilized here.

According to Brechalov, the shooting occurred when the suspect broke into school No. 88, shot a security guard and stormed it inside.

It is not clear that the suspect's motive in the shootings.
