When the goods arrived at Narita International Airport, agents discovered that the stimulant and ecstasy totaling 5.8 million yen (more than $ 53,000) were hidden under the soles of sports shoes in the package.

The police took out the drugs, then allowed the shipment to continue customs clearance for monitoring.

The four suspects admitted to drug trafficking and explained that they had lost their jobs due to Covid-19 and had difficulty in money, leading to crime.
