A plane carrying 79 passengers slipped off the runway at Sheremetyevo airport in Moscow this morning, but caused no damage.

Sources working in the emergency services agency said the incident occurred with a Sukhoi Superjet aircraft while running on a taxiway in preparation for departure from Moscow, Russia to Samara.

On board the plane at the time of the incident, there were 74 passengers and 5 crew members, but no injuries and no damage was reported. The type of the aircraft is unknown.

In May, an Aeroflot Sukhoi Superjet 100 aircraft carrying 78 people caught fire after an emergency landing at Sheremetyevo International Airport, killing 41 people.

The results of the investigation showed that the aircraft's autopilot system was struck by lightning shortly before the emergency landing, leaving the still-fueled aircraft to approach the landing line too quickly and jump on the runway and catch fire.

The incident has raised doubts about the aircraft line that was expected to revive the Russian civil aviation industry. In 2012, the newly launched Superjet 100 crashed into Mount Salak in Indonesia during a performance flight that killed all 37 passengers and 8 crew members.
