Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen allows Chinese men to get back their lion after a week of the government to detain this animal.

Tonight, I discussed with the Minister of Agriculture Veng Sakhon and agreed to allow the owner to accept the lion on the condition that it was necessary to build an appropriate fence to ensure safety for everyone in the same row family

Cambodian officials on June 27 confiscated a lion in the villas of the Chinese man named Zhai Xinjiang in the capital phompenh, after discovering it through the video on Tiktok.

Zhai Xinjiang visited Lion Hei Man in Phnom Tamao Wildlife Rescue Center last week.

The 18-month-old male lion, weighing 70 kg, was named by the owner Hei Man, imported from abroad and raised in its own villa.

The Chinese man denies all allegations of lion abuse, claiming he adopted it from two months of age and always takes care of animals for nearly a year.

In addition to the decision to return the lion for Zhai, Prime Minister Hun Sen also pledged to repay the fine of $ 30,000 that this person must pay before.

Zhai regularly posted a picture of a pet hei man sitting right in the home yard and playing with another dog on Tiktok.

It is not clear why the Cambodian government returns the lion to the Chinese man.

Thomas Gray's biologist in Phnom Penh, extensive researchers on wildlife trafficking, said Cambodia does not prohibit people who own non-indigenous animals like African Lion.
